He’s radiant… a radiant himbo.

And he avoids me like the plague. Not that I care.
Don’t know what his problem is, and I have no intention of finding out.

He’s a university football jock—affable and easy-going with a rich dad and popular friends always surrounding him.
But me? I’m the aloof, mysterious type. The one people on campus call Lady Killer—feared, envied, and who only trusts his triplet bros.

But one night, I catch him staring while I’m busy having some fun, and every-freaking-thing changes.
I’m curious now because the girl I was with wasn’t the one he was looking at with burning desire.

Having him move in with me is life’s way of telling me to experiment, right?

Spending time with him, though, has me catching feelings, especially when I realize he’s hiding something behind that carefree smile and laid-back attitude. We come from polar opposite backgrounds, but his life has more shadows than I thought.

There’s something dark eating at him. My past experience allows me to spot it easily. But I won’t let him fight it on his own, even though the danger is much closer to home than I predicted, and it’s reopening old wounds that never fully healed.
